Nuts and Bolts Items:
-Winter Wonderland Festival: It was a great turn-out Friday and wonderful evening! This wouldn’t have been possible without the many people who helped out - before, during and after. A great BIG thanks to each of you for your time and effort in making it a special night for our students. Watching their excitement really made it worth it! :)
-Book Fair continues throughout this week.
-NWEA testing: Due to illness, the deadline has been extended a few days. Please let Samantha know if you still have students you are needing to test this week.
-FYI: Rocky is on vacation this week and Debbie and Lynn will be shifting hours some in order to cover. They will have a bit of help with the morning hours.
-District Growth Hours: If you haven’t already, please complete your DGH hours in Talent Ed by Fri., Dec. 16. Attendance at our Aug. 1 Leader in Me training completes the 6 hours required.
-IE hours log for 1st semester is due this Friday. Please have these updated. IE hours for 1st semester & DGH hours will be paid out in January.
-If you are doing Career Ladder, this is a great time to make sure your log is updated too. Payment for this is one time in June 2023.
-WIS Spirit Wear Store: If you'd like to purchase long sleeve shirts, hoodies, etc. Check out the store! Items ordered before Friday will be in before the holiday break and delivered to school. (*They were having difficulties on the site, but believe the kinks are now worked out!)

The holidays can be a stressful time for our students and this can translate into challenges in the classroom. Here's a great podcast from Becky Bailey, creator of Conscious Discipline, who sits down with a 5th grade teacher to talk about strategies she uses this time of year.
