-Reminder we have MANY subs in the building this week. Please check in with subs that are around you and all be on your A-game and proactive with supervision! THANK YOU!
-WIS-South calendar of events: Make sure to let the office know of any changes/cancellations to clubs, etc. on the calendar as soon as possible to ensure proper communication. It’s also time to let us know of any additions/changes to the Feb. calendar as it will go home at the end of the week.
-“Help for Billy” book study – Due to interest, Shawnda and I would like to facilitate conversations with this district book study at the building level both digitally and at staff meetings. Even if you are hesitant to commit to the district book study, please sign up with us and let Dr. Templeton know you would like a book by the end of today-Monday! She is aware and supportive of us doing it at the building level. Also, let us know here when you sign up for a book.
-Monday dress – Desire was expressed at team leader to have a day we all wore our school shirts together. Therefore, Mondays were designated as khaki/WIS shirt day (Either 3/4 black shirts with name on back or the 2 “Our School..” designs). Fridays are still Willard wear/jeans day. Please encourage students to wear their shirts on Mondays too!
-Our building RTI/MTSS team met last week and want to be a support for your team. Due to the limited time we have this year, please complete these new and improved initial forms for any student that you want to refer to RTI/MTSS. Please return completed forms no later than February 5, 2020 to Emily Gehring, to get on the tentative schedule for the end of February.
-KC Chiefs Game Catcher fun – Check out our game board in the lounge. Write your name in a square when you do a good deed for another by the end of the day Friday. Then, we'll watch the game on Sunday to determine the winners at the end of each quarter and final score who will receive Amazon gift cards! See additional details by the poster or the link here.
-12 Weeks to Full Heart challenge – This is the week to really connect with your student. Grab lunch and talk to them about their goals! Stay tuned next week to hear about a drawing for all who accept this challenge! But for now, add it to our ‘Game Catcher’ board in the teachers' lounge.
-KC Chiefs spirit wear days this week for all - Staff may wear jeans if participating!
