Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day and/or communicate to Autumn before the day of announcement.


WIS shared picture folder: PLEASE add your pictures here for us and continue to add throughout the year to our folder. This is used for our yearbook and social media posts to tell our story!


WIS News:


Nuts and Bolts Items:

-Transition Day on Thursday: Here is a link to details re: transition day. There are tabs at the bottom for 5th teacher schedule, 6th teacher schedule, Overall schedule for all others & Student Lighthouse Guides schedule. Please look this over to be prepared. There are a couple items in purple that will be updated asap.

-MAP Testing Makeups will continue and need to be completed Wed., May 13. Brenna will connect with you on absences.

-End of Year Events Reminder: Certified staff are expected to attend either 5th Parent Transition Night on Thursday evening (5:30-6:30 pm) or 6th Grade Party on Fri. evening (After school until 6 pm) in order to help make these events a success. Please sign up by clicking on the links above to help so we know who is coming. Thanks!

-End of the month reminders:

  • Check out List - This has been updated in the hopes of streamlining things to shorten check-out time.

  • Career Ladder and IE hours are due THIS FRI., May 15.

  • Tutoring attendance is complete for special attendance.

  • District End-of-Year Survey completed by Mon, May 18. Goal is 100% staff completion.

  • Team Suggestions for Next Year Placement: As a team, please find your team’s document in this folder to list information helpful for next year’s placement (separations, moving, etc.)

-Save the Date for Back to School Summer Community Events:

  • Fri., Aug. 7 (5-8 pm) - Back to School Bash @ WISS for families from WOHE, WS and WISS

  • Mon., Aug. 10 (9 am-12 pm) - School Theme Decorating Day with families

  • Sun, Aug. 23 (9-11 am) - Welcome Chalking Day

-Please excuse your Student Lighthouse and Community Time students as needed this week to prepare for Thursday’s Transition Day and last day of school assembly. Our facilitators will let you know if/when they will be getting them.

-WCCF Grant Applications are due this Fri. May 15 if you have a need and are interested in applying!

-Community Time Celebration form: Our last Community time will be the last day of school! Be sure to complete this form if you have a student or staff member you’d like to honor at our monthly community time.

-EXTRA Student Leadership Teams will meet due to end of year planning for several teams & this is the only day this week we're able to meet. (Resources)

-Last day for MAP make-ups

-Clubs: Boys Choir, STEM Engineers, Reading


Thursday

-Transition Day in AM (Schedule: Note at the bottom of page schedule for the rest of the day.)

-Clubs: Color Guard

-5th Transition Night (5:30-6:30 pm)


Friday

-4th Quarter-Sharpen the Saw (Double specials planning time)

-IE & Career Ladder Logs Due

-4Q grades & SLO’s due in computer by end of day

-Choir Field Trip-Boys Choir Festival

  • Mr. Surber will share a list of students who are attending. They will go directly to the event and he is turning in AM attendance.

-Mrs. C’s class field trip to Willard park

-Wednesday - LAST Student Leadership Team Celebration, Talent Show @ 2:00 pm
