Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

WIS shared picture folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year. We’d love to have lots to choose from for the yearbook!

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-Staff September Check-In - Please let us now how you are doing!

-NWEA testing schedule - Please be aware of when teams have planned NWEA testing this week to minimize disruptions.

-Personal WIGs - This is the week we start tracking progress on our lead measures. Be sure you have your WIG posted in your classroom and update your scoreboard this week as we'll be coming around to check updates!

-Club Proposals: If you would like to sponsor a club, please share a completed club proposal and permission slip with Stacey. Once approved, you will be notified and we’ll get it added to the calendar, website and announcements.

-Positive Parent Phone Calls Challenge - Each year it's a goal to make a positive contact with each family during the first few weeks of school. These connections home are so important to check-in and build relationships, especially before we may need to have more difficult conversations. For the month of September, every 100 calls home will equal Sonic drinks for staff! Add calls you make to the poster in the teachers' lounge and let's see how many rounds of Sonic we can get before the end of the month. :) If you've already made a positive call home in the first 2 weeks, you may add it too!

-Homecoming Shirt Order Form - You may order a shirt for $10 by Sept. 14 in order to have it for homecoming.

-Mark your Calendar: Homecoming Spirit week coming the week of Sept. 19-23:

Teaching Tips:

Start the day off great by getting students actively engaged as soon as they walk in the classroom door. Perhaps it's a quick review from yesterday's lesson, check for prior knowledge before you get started today, or a great SEL activity. Check out these quick morning message ideas from "We Are Teachers" for some great ways to learn about your students and build community.
