Nuts and Bolts Items:
-Classroom teachers-Please be sure to have these items for your students:
Lunch PIN - Student will want to come to lunch with their PIN number. It will be the same as last year. There is a class copy in your mailbox if you need it!
Dismissal Plans - You will want to know how your students will get home day one and then normally. If there are any questions re: bus number, etc. please let the office know ASAP so that we may help clarify before the end of the day. You may email Kelly and Karen both any student names who are unsure how they are getting home. You may also check this bus roster list also. This has been shared with parents, but may be helpful for you as you talk with students about where to go fur bus & car lineup.
-Lunch procedures:
Lunch count is done each day on this form by 9 am, along with attendance in Infinite Campus.
Lunch menu can be found here and Paula Parker will send an email with any changes at 8:00 am each day. Adults purchasing will use the same form and add your name if it’s not listed. It is also on the Dashboard under “Daily/Weekly”.
Lunch seating sections: 5th grade and 6th grade. Please assist your students the first couple of days with seating as we get it all figured out. At this time, breakfast will be open seating in the designated area filling up seats closest to the kitchen first.
-Recess: Here are the zones and expectations our specials teachers will be sharing Monday morning with students. Both documents can be found on the dashboard. Also, here are the weather protocols for going outside. Monday looks like a chance of rain, so we’ll watch this. Please encourage students to bring a water bottle each day.
-Specials Rosters for 6th Grade: This is the link to the rosters for 6th grade specials. Classes should meet in the commons and will then line up with the specials teacher they have that day. Then, classroom teachers will pick them up at the end of specials in the commons also. Please let Stacey know there is a name we’re missing on the list. We will make sure to update it with any additions/changes. If a new student is interested in band, please allow them visit with Mr. Meadows on their ‘band’ day this first week of school.
-Arrival/dismissal - Especially the first couple of days, we would like all hands-on deck to welcome our students and also help with dismissal procedures at the end of the day. Non-classroom teachers-we’ll want people out front, buses, assisting with finding classrooms and breakfast. Let’s pump them up!
-Positive Behavior System: Here are slides that include details for our positive behavior system. Stickers should arrive Tues. and we will get them to everyone. Until then, feel free to sign their box. We will also have the Team ROAR boards up for you this week.
-Action teams: All new staff should be thinking this week which action team they would like to serve on (Academics, Leadership or Culture) or prefer to complete a LIM 101 for 1st semester. Please email Stacey your choice by the end of the week. Our first meeting will be next Monday.
-Vector Training Videos - If you haven’t already, make sure you are getting these completed as it will get harder as things get busy.
-Student Allergies - As a reminder, we have several student allergies in our building. Please use caution and be aware for your classes. We should refrain from using essential oils, air fresheners, Febreeze, Axe, etc. as these can be triggers for some people, especially asthmatics.
-Bathroom sign out sheets - This would be used if a student has an emergency need to use the restroom outside of class breaks, but should be limited.
-Spirit Wear Store: Orders must be in by midnight on Fri., Sept. 4 if you’d like to purchase any additional Willard wear or our school theme shirts.
-Meet the Teacher Night attendance: Classroom teachers - Please enter your attendance if you haven’t already done so.
-Clubs: If you have a club starting soon, please get the club proposal form to Stacey in order to be approved and added to the school calendar. Sept. 1 is fast approaching for our first calendar home!
