Mon. Library/Counseling Week: A Week

Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-MRA survey - Please give students who were absent Fri. an opportunity to take the survey today so everyone gets to participate. All staff will take it during our meeting after school today. The window is open through Wed. for parents and any others to still take it. We are anxious to compare our feedback to the fall survey and help guide plans for next year.

-Class and individual spring pictures - We’ll get more information to you soon. However, individual pictures will likely work the same as the fall in the spaces between the grade levels. Class pictures will be in either the commons or gym.

-Team meetings: Please let Stacey or Shawnda know if you have anything you’d like for us to pop-in about anything during your team meeting. Otherwise, we’ll plan to check in NEXT week.

Adult Learning Weekly Blog Spot from Ms. Maddeaux:

Wow, it’s definitely the 4th quarter and a busy time! We received quite a bit of input this past week in the trash can. A common theme was around behaviors and expectations of students and staff alike. Also, the desire for more support and training in these areas. Your voice has been heard and steps are being taken to look closer at input, discuss with the Lighthouse team, and continue working towards solutions and growth for our building. Some of the items are currently being addressed by our Adult Learning Action Team to support desired learning in the future and establish collective Tier 1 behavior expectations. Other input, such as the desire for an assistant principal, aren’t possible due to our student population. We’ll continue to work together towards some win-win solutions and as always encourage everyone’s input and suggestions towards improvement. Thank you!

With all that comes with the last few weeks of school, each of us currently have a lot on our plate which can be stressful. Check in with your accountability partners today to see how each other are doing. Does your partner need a pick-me-up? Have each of you planned for the Q2 important, but not urgent items for this week? Or, do you find yourself operating from Q1 or Q3 more often right now and need to recalibrate?
