Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.
WIS shared picture folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year.
-4 days until MAP testing begins, 5 weeks of school left: Let’s DO THIS!!
Nuts and Bolts Items:
-Food Allergy Awareness Week: Mark your calendars for May 14-20! We’ll be doing daily announcements, #TealTakeover by wearing teal on Tuesday (represents food allergy awareness), videos, and more fun coming as we try to spread the importance of being food allergy aware.
-Team information to share re: next year placement: Please add this to your team meeting agenda to discuss and give input re: students for next year’s placement. This folder contains a team document that you can add your team information (separations, moving, special considerations, etc.). This is very helpful and appreciated!
-Dress Code Items: Reminder to please help with this. Also, we have seen an increase of students wearing a Stranger Things t-shirt with "Hellfire Club" and a devil on it. To be consistent, please ask students not to wear this at school again.
-Staff Updates:
Becca Douglas will be making a transition next year to the new position of MTSS Interventionist at WIS! We’re excited about the vision of this new role as we seek to be more intentional and proactive with our Tier 2 supports and effectiveness of intervention time. We believe this, along with the continued steps taken this year with the reset room, will continue to help both students and teachers be more successful.
Welcome the following staff to Intermediate-South family next year:
Sheena Richardson will fulfill the open special services, cross cat position due to Becca’s transition. Sheena has worked as a paraprofessional the last couple of years at Willard Central. She’s excited to be obtaining her certification and then begin her masters this summer. She and her family live in Willard.
Judy Jump will join navy team as a 5th grade math teacher. She’s taught 1st grade in Republic for the last 8 years and student taught at Willard South. She desired making a move to upper elementary and can’t wait to teach her favorite subject full time. She will be here on Tuesday this week to shadow some of our 5th grade classes and get a feel for ‘intermediate life’.
