Nuts and Bolts Items:

-If you haven’t completed the Staff Survey, please do so asap!

-Lunch seating sections: 5th grade and 6th grade. Please assist your students the first couple of days with seating as we get it all figured out. At this time, breakfast will be open seating in the designated area filling up seats closest to the kitchen first. If needed, we will create a breakfast map of team sections.

-Team Tropical Locations: Below are the locations we know have been chosen so far. If this is incorrect, or you would like to add your area to our list send it to Stacey.

  • Teal Team: Brazil

  • Maroon Team: French Polynesia

  • Green Team: Miami, Florida

  • Navy Team: Fiji

  • Becca/Ben: Intervention Island

-Recess: It looks to be a VERY warm week. Here is the weather protocols for going outside. Please encourage students to bring a water bottle each day. If we have to be inside, we'll utilize this indoor recess schedule. Also, here are the zones and expectations our specials teachers will be sharing Monday morning with students. Both documents can also be found on the dashboard.

-Arrival/dismissal - Especially the first couple of days, we would like all hands-on deck to welcome our students and also help with dismissal procedures at the end of the day. Non-classroom teachers-we’ll want people out front, buses, assisting with finding classrooms and breakfast. Let’s pump them up!

-Classroom teachers-Please be sure to have these items for your students:

  • Lunch PIN - Students will want to come to lunch with their PIN number. This can be found in SIS, but we were able to run it for you by class. It’s in your mailbox!

  • Dismissal plans - You will want to know how your students will get home day one and then normally. If there are any questions re: bus number, etc., please let the office know ASAP so that we may help clarify before the end of the day. You may email Amanda and Rhonda both.

-Bathroom sign out sheets: This template is included on the Dashboard under “forms/templates”. This is used if a student has an emergency need to use the restroom outside of class breaks, but should be limited.

-Safe School videos - You should be completed with the first round of videos. We received the second round on Friday and they will be due at the end of October.

-Tutoring Schedule: When your team/grade level has determined a tutoring schedule to make available to families, please let Stacey also know. We’ll get it added to the calendar and it will help in answering phone calls.

-Clubs: If you have a club starting soon, please get the club proposal form to Stacey in order to be approved and added to the school calendar.

-Team Nights: Once your team has a date for your team night, please share this with Stacey to get added to the calendar. It’s our goal to have all of these scheduled by Sept. 22.

-Lighthouse team: More information coming soon regarding our next meeting. There will not be a scheduled meeting this first week.

Teaching Tidbits:
