WIS News:

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-Student Leadership Team Photos: We got a few more pictures last week. Thank you! If your team hasn’t taken a picture yet, please upload one this week here

-Missing Work/Recess Ongoing Feedback: As we implement our new game plan, please continue to give feedback, suggestions, ask questions, etc. on our document. There is a spot at the top of the document to add this.

-Winterfest: If you can help, even for a short time this Friday for our Winterfest there are several spots still available. Sign up here.

-WOHE Penguin Patch: We have a service opportunity for some of our students to assist at WOHE as they are looking for volunteers to help students with their shopping. They are scheduled between 11:30-2:15 Mon, Thurs. and Fri.. We are working on a schedule with a couple leadership teams and will let you know if this impacts any of your students. We will be mindful of NWEA testing too, but thought it’s a great opportunity to partner and allow some students to serve!

-IE hours: Hours on your plan must be updated by next Tues., Dec. 16. In addition, they need to be submitted in Frontline Professional Growth. Reach out to Heather or Stacey if you’ve got questions on how to do this!

-Student Need Check-ins: As a reminder, we'll be coming to your team meeting this week. In addition, we'll plan to meet on Dec. 16. (Schedule of additional coverage for you this day.) Finally, we are planning to build in some time on Jan. 5 building PD day. The remainder of the day will be open work time to get prepared for 2nd semester.

-Reminders: Don’t let the following dates sneak up on you:

  • IC Gradebook - Please be sure you are entering grades in Infinite Campus as you complete the assignments. We don’t want to wait until the end of the quarter to enter it all.

  • Yearly Dyslexia Training - All certified staff should complete this Canvas training by the end of the day on Jan. 5.

  • Stop the Bleed - All Missouri school employees must now complete this training. due by the end of Dec.

  • DGH hours - These 6 hours should be submitted by the end of first semester, Dec. 19.

  • IE hours - 1st semester logs will be due Dec. 16 & hours in Frontline Growth should be entered monthly.

-Food in Classrooms: As we near the holidays and all the treats, our custodians would greatly appreciate if we could limit food in the classroom and make sure to have students clean up if we do. You are welcome to use the commons where it's easier to clean up if you would like outside of the lunch hour!
