Video Weekly News:

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-Holiday class party on Friday – If you’re team is planning to do food/drinks, be sure to reserve a time to use the commons with Stacey or Rhonda. Currently, we have one team using it from 10-10:30 am.

-Please POWER DOWN the Aver boards each night by using the switch on the side. We have had some hit by lightning in the district and tech believes this could help avoid it happening to us!

-Big thanks to Stacey Maddeaux for leading the math competition on Saturday. It was a great turn-out! We also appreciate all the staff that volunteered: Brian Hayes, Beth Johnson, Nathan Steinbach, Bethanie Tait, Jacquelyn Tutton and Julie Wolf.

Leader in Me Moment:

This week we would like to focus on Habit 7: Sharpening the Saw.

Abraham Lincoln said, "Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe."

Sharpening the saw (or axe) enables us to be able to continue practicing the other six habits. When we do not take time to sharpen the saw, we spend far too much time and energy chopping at a tree with ineffective tools. We are not able to accomplish what we want because our saw is dull and we are weary.

Sharpening does not happen by accident. It is purposeful. As we head into the holiday break, we hope you will be purposeful about sharpening your saw, feeding your soul, refreshing your spirit, and taking care of your most important tool-- You.
