As I completed this week's blog, I felt like I was doing it for two different scenarios - seated classes and the all-new AMI days. Hopefully, I've got us covered with communication for either situation, although I'm hoping to see YOU sooner than later. Please feel free to reach out with any of your questions! I know Shawnda is also available if you need any support with our virtual learning.

Nuts and Bolts Items:
-Who knew we’d be in for an extended break?! Along with your teammates, I encourage you to reach out to check on your accountability partners also if we have multiple AMI days ahead!
-Book Love - Is this something your students can do from home? They can always fill out the hearts once they get to school.
-Read Across America - David is accepting gently used books and/or donations. The goal is to put a book in every student’s hands during our Read Across America week fun the first week of March.
-National Children’s Dental Month - Each homeroom class needs to show the appropriate grade level video below. Our goal had been between the dates of Feb. 8-19, but at this point hopefully by the end of February! ;) Please add your viewing date to this document and Nurse Danielle will make sure your class has their ‘goodie bag’ of educational material to send home that day. Each video is less than 5 minutes long.
-Team meetings this week: If we’re in school, we’ll try our best to meet regarding updates with our reading goal progress. If there are multiple AMI days, we may have a virtual check-in time if needed that will be communicated at least a day ahead.
-6th Band- Our instrument rental night has been pushed back a week to Feb. 25. Once we determine a return date to school, we will likely need a time with teams to announce instrument selection and do percussion testing with a few students.
-MS scheduling has been rescheduled for our 6th graders right now for Feb. 23 (Maroon team) and 24 (Teal team).
-Classified staff - I will be sending an email to you later today with information regarding expectations for your day.
