Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

WIS shared picture folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year. We’d love to have lots to choose from for the yearbook!

Nuts and Bolts Items

-Attendance Reminder: We have had an increase of incorrect absences being recorded, especially on student leadership team days. It is important to ALWAYS put eyes on each student to make sure this is accurate. We do not want you to depend on the lunch count list for attendance as this can often be incorrect. This is scary for parents when they get the call their child is absent and they really ARE here. Thanks for your help to ensure accuracy!

-Practicum Students: Please add any practicum students you have in your classroom to our document. We know there have been a few added recently and must have everyone’s information. Thanks!

-Classroom Budgets: If you would still like to get items for your classroom, please have these items purchased by spring break. Budgets are frozen after spring break so everything can be reconciled through district office by year end.

-Secret Pals: Don’t forget it’s time to show some love to your secret pals this week. :)

-Mark your calendar: Field Day will be May 24 and 6th Band Concert is May 23 at 6:00 pm.

-Macrame Club will not begin until NEXT week, Mar. 3 (*This is a change as they had planned to start this week.)

-Primary School Picture: We’re still needing pictures. This may be a copy and/or we will get the original back to you! Please turn in to Stacey or the main office.

-WIS Staff Family News:

  • Christina Cones’ baby arrived Friday evening at 11:04 pm. Baby Linda weighed 7 lbs. and was 20 ½ inches long. Christina and baby are doing well. Congratulations!

  • Kortney Collier became engaged this weekend and plans are underway for a July wedding. Congratulations to the future Mrs. Bowling!

  • Katie McCormick will join Springfield Schools next year as the counselor at the Adah Fulbright Early Childhood Center. While we will greatly miss her at WIS, we are excited for her opportunity to work with the little ones again as this is a desire for her.
