Nuts and Bolts Items:
-100th Day of School-Since we weren’t at school on Wed., we’ll celebrate the 100th day tomorrow (Monday). Let’s dress up in our best 100 day gear and jeans. We’ll also communicate to families from the office so they can participate. There will also be some 100 calorie snacks for staff today in the lounge/after school.
100 Days of Accomplishments - Please have students write an accomplishment they are proud of on a post-it and then add it to the 100 display in the Tiger Den. Feel free to add yours also!
-National School Counseling Week - Unfortunately, Beth will be out of the building this week. We're hoping she'll be back on Friday to celebrate with us and will keep you posted!
-Craft Club - Due to Mrs. Johnson's absence, club will be cancelled Tues. morning. Please let your students know.
-Please help me in welcoming Christian Taylor to WIS. Christian will begin as a paraprofessional in Mrs. Bauer’s room this week. A few of you may recognize Christian as he is a Willard graduate and former intermediate school student. :) He is excited to join us and gain experience in education while he currently works on his teaching certification.
-Valentine Friendship Party will be Feb. 18 Early Out (6th-9:05-9:50 am; 5th-10:00-10:45 am). Party will begin in the Tiger Den and all teachers are asked to help supervise. A Sign Up Genius will be going home to parents this week and we may need volunteers to help pick up items. As long as we are consistent as a grade level, you are welcome to invite students to bring Valentines and boxes to do with your class/team also this day.
Activities will include:
Tiger Den - snacks, games and picture spot
Art room - crafts, movie, trail mix in art room
Music room - Just Dance
PE - games and free play
-February Fun staff calendar - Friday we’ll have a pizza lunch sign up. In addition, all staff are welcome to leave as soon as the kids are gone Friday since we missed out on this last week due to our snow day.
-AMI attendance: Please be sure to have attendance updated as soon as possible. Our attendance took a small decline over our previous AMI days, so we want to reiterate to students the importance of completion so they are not counted absent.
