Nuts and Bolts Items:
-Grade reports and NWEA family report will be brought around to you Monday morning. Please send these home Monday if possible.
-Mid-Year Check-in: Please complete this quick pulse check-in if you didn’t last week. Names are not being collected, so please include your name if you have a specific need or question you’d like a reply to.
-6th band: Class begins this week. Band Club will NOT meet until NEXT week, Jan. 19 & 21 after school until 4:30 pm. More specific information will be sent to 6th grade teachers.
-Student Leadership teams - Begin on Thursday! Our shared leadership action team will be sending out reminder information re: how to prepare your students during lead time this week and resources to kick-off your student leadership team. Here is a building map of room locations.
-Team meetings: We will plan to attend NEXT week’s meetings for 6th grade on Jan. 18 and specials on Jan. 19 as normal. Due to Impact Team training, we’ll meet with 5th grade on Jan. 19. This is a change in date, so please let us know if that doesn’t work for your team. Topics include: Student check-in: Reflection on progress and focus goals for 2nd semester (reading data folders, NWEA, supports, etc.). Please let us know if you'd like us to attend this week!
-Our building SIT team will begin meeting on Thursday mornings this semester and want to be a support. If your team has any specific needs for students currently on SIT or new, please connect with Becca.
-Welcome, Hannah Mullins! Hannah will begin student teaching with Mrs. Cones’ on navy team next week, Jan. 19. Hannah may look familiar to many as she’s been a substitute quite a bit in our building first semester. We’re excited to have her join us this semester!
-Outside recess: Please make sure to have students bring their coats to lunch with them if the weather is warm enough to go outside. Weather protocol-We will go outside if wind chill is above 25 degrees and regular temperature is above 32 degrees.
