-6th Band Information Assembly - Mark your calendars….Teal team will be from 2-2:40 pm and Maroon team will be from 2:50-3:30 pm in the gym. All 6th classes will attend to learn about the band program. Information will go home for students to sign up for this after school club likely to begin in Feb.

-Club Proposal - If you would like to offer a safe and socially distanced club for 2nd semester, please complete this proposal first for approval and to get it on the calendar.

-ELL ACCESS testing begins this week. Mrs. Gillette will be using the special services office and/or Mrs. Berry’s room. The approximate schedule is on the calendar, but she should’ve communicated with you if this affects any of your students.

-Gratitude Journal - This journal began going around around the holidays (maybe last year!) and

hasn't been seen since. If you ended up with it last, please put it in Stacey's mailbox. We intended to collect it at the end of the season and it's gone missing! Cover looked like this.

-Saturday was School Resource Officers Appreciation Day - Be sure to let Officer Riggin know how grateful we are to have him a part of WIS-South. We are very fortunate to have such a caring and thoughtful SRO!

Adult Learning Weekly Blog Spot:

This last week, I talked to the Teal Team students about welcoming the new year and setting ourselves up for success. I really like the One Word Project concept of choosing a guiding word rather than a resolution for the year. Last year, rather than a word, I did a hashtag, "#doallthethings", and I let that guide me through the year. I shared my plan with some people, and my sister-in-law was an awesome accountability partner in that she would hashtag my posts for me, or remind me when I was trying to decide if I was going to do something that this was my year to do ALL the things. Watch this video about the importance of your one word. Give some thought to what your word will be this year. Decide how you want to share it to hold yourself accountable.

With your accountability partner this week, talk about your accomplishments from last year. There were probably way more good things than you realize. We've been conditioned to thinking 2020 was trash. It was hard, but it wasn't ALL bad! Let the remembrance of those good things remind you that 2021 won't be a total dumpster fire! Then maybe talk about what you're looking forward to in 2021!
