Mon. Library/Counseling Week: B week

News Show:

We will not have a news show this week, but wish David a speedy recovery and lots of rest!

Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-The weather forecast is looking a bit rough this week, let’s cross our fingers we’re here all week. As always, it’s good practice to remind students (and ourselves) to take home our Chromebook each day. We just can't catch a break!

-Reading club is canceled this Tuesday. We’ll try to get it on announcements, but please communicate to your students also.

-Valentine’s Party - With Valentine’s Day falling on a Monday (not ideal) and a month full of changed schedules in January, we want to protect instructional time as much as we can. Therefore, we’ll plan to have a ‘Friendship party’ on the early out day of Feb. 18. This will be similar to how our fall grade level parties. More details, times, etc. will be communicated to you soon and what help may be needed.

-100th Day of School - As long as the weather cooperates, Wed. will be the 100th day of school. You are encouraged to celebrate with students. Jeans and a 100 things dress up is a definite! There will also be a poster in the Tiger Den for students to add the accomplishments they are proud of this year. #MakeYourImpact There may be a couple additional surprises planned too.

-Substitutes - With all the sickness right now, this continues to be a daily challenge. Please stay in close communication as soon as you may develop symptoms or see the potential need to be gone. I really appreciate that everyone has been on top of this, thank you!!!

-February Fun calendar - Look for a staff calendar of fun coming soon. It's time to have some laughs and fun days to help get us through the many challenges we are facing.

-Books to Love - We encourage all to participate! Let's get to talking about those books we're reading and filling out hearts.

Teacher Tidbit:

The thought of more indoor recess this month got you down? Check out this cool site to share with students. They can play board games online against each other. Might be a fun one to share!
