Mon. Library/Counseling Week: A week

Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

WIS shared picture folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year. We’d love to have lots to choose from for the yearbook!

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-5th DARE will begin this week. See schedule here. Please be familiar with the schedule to plan in order to help with some tight transitions. The time is less this year, so it will be important to be on time.

-Field trips: It’s time to begin scheduling our spring field trips. Team field trips do not have to happen on the same day, but we do ask that the grade level be consistent in where they go. We will have a fundraiser towards the end of Feb./first of March to help us keep field trip costs down for our students. Additional details re: scheduling the field trip can be found here.

-Strategic Planning Stakeholder Input: All staff will meet on Wed. with representatives from the consulting firm to share input. This input will be used to determine district strengths and possible trends to help in the development of goals for the next District Strategic Plan. See your group meeting time and questions on the schedule. Location will be the large meeting room in the office.

-House of Leaders:

  • We’re off to a great start with our coins and the students are motivated!

  • First incentives - We plan to put out the drawing boxes in the commons asap this week. These will be a 1 month Fast Pass for lunch line, VIP lunch seating and a special treat. We will draw multiple students for each one.

  • Students who have 5 coins, may enter their name in the drawing. We’ll get the drawing papers to classroom teachers. As you give students the paper to put in drawing, please use a Sharpie to mark off the 5 coins on their grid. Each 5 coins = 1 name in drawing of their choice. They will also receive a class coin to contribute to their classroom grid too.

  • Class Incentives - Student Lighthouse will be determining the class rewards we will add to our spinning wheel. If your class has suggestions, please give them to your representative. Once this is complete, we will have the wheel displayed near the office for all to see.

  • Here is the staff presentation with details we discussed if you need to refer to it.

  • Please ask if you have any questions!

-ACCESS testing will be this week for our ESL students. Please see the schedule emailed by Mrs. Gillette if you have students who will be participating.

Did you see the new digital postcards on our district website? In addition to a great way for our community to share a positive message, this is a great and simple way to send a message to a coworker too!
