Mon. Library/Counseling Week: A week

WIS News Show: Check out the new soundproofing in the Production Room! Big thanks to Kevin Kline and his wife for their continued partnership and support of our media leaders and Mrs. Farmer for coming in during spring break to make it happen!

Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

WIS shared picture folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year. We’d love to have lots to choose from for the yearbook!

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-Big News at WIS over spring break - Our playground has a fence! Our district had the opportunity to jump on an opening with Carnahan fence last week and made it happen. Big thanks! ❤

  • There will likely be some adjustments with student expectations as we figure out the new boundary lines (similar to what we had except a shorter boundary along back tree line due to underground utilities), balls, etc. We welcome your input!

  • Temporary gates will be put up Monday morning until the permanent ones come in.

-Final NWEA testing this week, 6 weeks until MAP testing and 10 weeks of school left: So little time and much learning to accomplish still! Let’s finish STRONG!

-NWEA testing: Begins Tuesday! Please have a plan to discuss best effort expectations with students, be prepared and set them up for success. It’s important for students to know what their last score was and expected growth to set a personal goal. The more they are aware, own this and understand the why (show and celebrate their learning this year!), the better we can expect their outcome!

  • We will plan some goal displays for the hall and get more info to you asap.

  • Please let Samantha know if you have any questions or technical issues as you get set up.

  • Thanks to the leadership team that hung up signs of encouragement for our testing!

-Spring Student-Led Conferences: Kicks off next week! Teams should be finalizing conference schedules and share with the office by Thursday. Please reach out if your team has any questions as you prepare regarding schedule and/or student portfolios.

-Grade reports - Due by 10:00 am Tuesday. Refer to this grade reporting guide on the Dashboard for reminders of what is expected to include. We ask that EACH homeroom teacher proof their class upon team completion. Grades will be sent home Friday, Mar. 24.

-Building Needs/Wish List: Did you know we have a document you can add suggestions of things to purchase for our school, PD needs, etc. If you have an idea or need, please add it on this form. It is also located on the Dashboard.
