Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

WIS shared picture folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year. We’d love to have lots to choose from for the yearbook!

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-5 weeks until MAP testing, 9 weeks of school left: Let’s finish STRONG!

-Staff school pictures: We’re still missing several pictures of staff when they were in grade school. Please get your picture turned in! We promise to take good care of them. :)

-NWEA testing: Please continue with makeups ASAP as the window will be closing any day now. Here is a list of students currently needing to take one of the NWEA tests. If you have questions/need assistance with getting them completed, please reach out to Samantha.

-Secret Pals: Last week was payday. Did you remember to give your secret pal a treat?!

-Spring Student-Led Conferences are this week. You may reference the information linked as you prepare or reach out if you have any questions. Some other important items as you prepare:

  • Plan time for students to practice sharing their leadership portfolio information so they are prepared.

  • Create a welcoming environment for families as they arrive to your learning pod. Can you put up a welcome message, student work, etc? We want them to notice the great learning that is going on and have students proud to share.

  • All teachers are expected to complete 7.5 hours this week. You will want to log this information here.

  • Conference attendance is recorded here. Our goal is 100% participation. If you don’t have some scheduled, it will be important to reach out to parents to schedule a time.

-"Music in Our School" Spirit Week: We encourage everyone's participation and thank our Inclusion Fusion leadership team for organizing this! However, please plan accordingly in order to dress professionally for conference evenings.

-WIS Staff Family News:

  • We are excited to announce that Brenna Davis will be transitioning from her current role as Essential Skills paraprofessional to be our new school counselor next year!

  • Also, we want to wish Sydnie King the best of luck next year as she has decided to pursue other opportunities and sadly won’t be returning to WIS.
