News show:
WIS shared picture folder: Please add your pictures throughout the year to our folder. This is used for our yearbook and social media posts to tell our story!
Nuts and Bolts Items:
-Thanks to our Reading Roundup team for creating some fun Read Across America activities for us!
March Book Tournament - Please have your students vote for our first round of books. They may view the bracket just outside the commons restrooms and then vote at this link. (You may want to take a quick class trip there with their chromebooks to see the book covers as they vote.)
Spirit Week Days:
-Supervision: The natives are restless and we’re tired as we inch to spring break and the last quarter. Please help keep things running smoothly by making sure to:
be on your a-game and on time with supervision.
tighten up on how much we’re allowing students to be out of class. (Please help us limit hallway traffic by saying no as these trips out of class are when we’re seeing more behaviors. Students should be able to take care of this during scheduled class breaks.)
be well-planned and structured during class time.
pay attention to the NWEA testing times the next couple of weeks to minimize disruptions.
-Yearbook orders are due today: https://shop.yearbookmarket.com/willardintermediatesouth.
-NWEA spring testing begins this week:
-Spring Parent Conferences: Team communication should be sent out this week regarding conference scheduling. See further details here to help your team plan.
-School Social Workers Week: Our school social workers are Erica Russell and Merikate Alexander if you have time to send a quick thank you email or digital postcard.
-40 book challenge: It's time to add your totals for Feb. If you haven't had students add stickers to our hallway picture grid, take some stickers during a bathroom break if you think of it and let them catch up!
-Stacey will be out until Wed. afternoon this week. Becca Douglas will be point of contact filling in if needed. Feel free to reach out to Stacey if needed as she will be checking email/phone throughout the conference.
-If you have classroom budget money left, please try to have this spent this week. Amanda can help you with ordering or let you know what funds you might have left if you're unsure.
