November 11-15, 2019

Did you hear? Our school won the “Design Team of the Year” with Paragon and JE Dunn. This is a huge honor and it was a great celebration of the team work that went into building our school! Thanks to Ms. Harron, Mrs. Herron and Mrs. Raby for attending. Come by the office to check out the plaque and Springfield Business Journal article sometime.

Nuts and Bolts Items:

  • Sub Assignment Pilot – Our building was given access recently in AESOP to pilot the ability to assign a sub. When you put in a leave request now, you will see two options, “Create absence & assign sub” or “Create absence”. You may only assign a sub if you have spoken to the person and they agree to the position as they will be immediately assigned without their confirmation. Otherwise, you must still use the “Create absence” feature. As always, you must also communicate your absence to Stacey AND Rhonda in the office first. At this point, I believe we are the only building piloting this and the district is eager to hear our feedback. Thanks to Stacey Maddeaux for reaching out to Dr. Teeter about this new possibility! If you have any questions, we’re happy to help in the office.

  • Media center – Please make sure prior to sending student(s) to the library that there is supervision and it’s an ok time.

  • Fri. Fridge Clean-out - Beginning THIS Friday, the custodians will be cleaning out the fridge weekly. Any items that have gone bad, are expired and/or not labeled with a name will be pitched. Our fridge is only a few weeks old and already getting pretty stinky!

  • Don’t forget to get Mr. Hayes your social committee dues! ($20-certified staff, $10-classified staff, Half amount if split time with another building)

  • Staff Spotlight – If you haven’t completed your page for our staff spotlight, please do so!
