WIS News:

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-WIS Day at Barnes and Noble is this Saturday. Autumn would love your help! If you can assist for a shift throughout the day, sign up here.

-AMI Days: As we look to the potential of bad weather in the next few months, we have up to 6 AMI days that can be used. In addition, 5 make-up days and 4 emergency make-up days (after Memorial Day that we hope to not use). The plan is to use AMI Day 1 first. However, depending on the timing and length, we could see a mix of AMI/make-up days after that.

  • AMI Work: The office plans to print the full Day 1-6 packets and send home on Fri., Dec. 5. In addition, special services will want to send home work related to goals on Form G for their students. If you recall an update or change needed to our packets, please let Heather or Stacey know soon before we print.

-Policy re: Recess and Physical Activity: We have learned about a board policy update that took place in June that we must ensure we are following. This will create some changes in our practice as recess can no longer be used as punishment, which includes requiring students not to attend due to a consequence or missing work. We will be talking more about this and looking to brainstorm a list of alternative suggestions. In addition, we will need to make some changes to our student handbook.
