Nuts and Bolts Items:

-Friendsgiving is next Monday! Please let us know if you are coming or not and what you’d like to bring if attending ASAP on our sign-up form so we can get a count.

-It’s payday this week. If you haven’t turned in your social committee dues, it goes to Mr. Hayes! ($20-certified staff, $10-classified staff, Half amount if split time with another building)

Leader in Me Moment:

This week we would like to focus on Habit 4. To refresh your memory, here is a video from the man himself: Habit 4 by Stephen Covey

What are the big ideas for this habit? How can these ideas be applied in the classroom? What are some possible small, realistic steps we can take to implement the idea of Win-Win in our rooms?

Teacher Tips:

“Getting Consistent with Consequences” is a very timely article from Educational Leadership for our faculty conversation around student relationships, expectations and behaviors. Just as we are attempting to do, this article recommends getting consistent in our beliefs first and also includes some great information to help define consequences and the role they play in helping students. It’s worth your time to read!
