Mon. Library/Counseling Week: A week

Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

WIS shared picture folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year. We’d love to have lots to choose from for the yearbook!

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-BIG THANK YOU!!! Wow, I don't think we could include any more into these last two weeks of October, but the joy seen on our students' faces during our events this past week really make it worth it! Check out our picture folder to see pictures from the School Board Academic Spotlight, Trunk-or-Treat, Genre Tasting, Star Wars Club guests, Bus Driver Appreciation and Fall Parties last week. No wonder we're all so tired!! I truly have no words for the appreciation to all of you who made our events possible last week. I feel so blessed to work with such an amazing team! Please know all your time and effort does not go unnoticed. We'll have muffins for breakfast to celebrate a great week and give you one less thing to think about. :)

-Pictures: If you took some pictures last week, please add them to our school folder above too. We still need to get pictures of the pumpkins. :)

-Grade reports: Please email Stacey and the secretaries as soon as your class/team grade reports are complete so that we may begin printing them - especially if you have any scheduled Monday evening. Thanks! We will be delivering them to you, along with the NWEA family report from September to send home with parents.

-Team Parent Conference Schedules: Please send Stacey a copy of your team’s schedule if you haven’t already. Also, let her know if you have any conferences you would like her to attend.

-Parent Conference reporting: As the week winds down, please be sure to turn in your log of hours worked and conference attendance. *Specials teachers-please note you will need to list the student names of contacts made.

-Playground Paint & Landscape Party will be Saturday morning, Nov. 5 beginning at 8:00 am. We will have several parents and would love any staff that could attend to join us! We will be painting some games on the asphalt area and also sprucing up the landscape around the building.

-Oct. 31 PD Day @ WIS-South

  • 11:30-12:30 pm - Chili Lunch - Please sign up to bring an item.

  • We will have a schedule for this day to you very soon!

-PD Plans: If you have not submitted your PD plan in Talent Ed yet, please do so!

-Class Mission Statements: Please hang these in the commons when your class is complete.

-Congratulations to Mrs. Hill’s class for winning our pumpkin contest. Big kudos to all classes for your work on them. It was so cool to see the creativity and I know the students really enjoyed it!

-We’re excited to celebrate Red Ribbon Week with the following spirit days below. Feel free to participate as staff, but please bring a change of clothes to dress professional on the days you have parent conferences scheduled.

Teaching Tip & Tidbits:

With parent conferences upon us and some doing them for the first time, I wanted to share a couple resources I came across from Anita Bond recently: Here is a resource with helpful sentence stems to guide conversations. Then, listen to her Tik Tok below for some pointers for those conferences when you might need to have tougher discussions.

Don't forget the other resources included on the bottom of the second page of our building resource too!
