Mon. Library/Counseling Week: B week

Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

WIS shared picture folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year. We’d love to have lots to choose from for the yearbook!

WIS social media post form: It's important that we tell our story at WIS! Please share news and pictures from things happening in your classroom or our school that would make a great post!

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-Belonging individual WIGs: Congrats to the many who had their WIG posted last week. We’ll be coming around the first of this week to collect data on met lead measures for WEEK 1, so be sure to update your scoreboard! If you didn’t make it last week, what got in the way? Need to make a change in your lead measure? be more intentional? refocus?

-NWEA testing schedule: The focus this week is on getting all makeups complete. Please utilize intervention time and other times that may be available within your team as best as possible. Then, please let Samantha know if your team has difficulty and we’ll do our best to coordinate support in getting all students complete.

-Homecoming float: Students are working closely with Mrs. Berger on our design, but there’s some other areas we could use some help:

  • Float Participant List - We would like 1 representative from each homeroom class to be on our float. Please talk with your class to determine who this might be and add their name to the list linked. We’d like this to be a student who is interested, outgoing, will represent the class positively, and able to dress in 50’s wear (we may be able to help here). We will have a bus to provide transportation early to get in the float line, so they do not need to worry about getting there early. Please add a student name this week to our list.

  • Have a truck or even trailer we could use for the float parade? We MAY have a lead on a trailer, but are looking for someone with a truck to drive our float. If you have access to either, please let Paige or Stacey know!

  • Float build night on Thursday, Sept. 22 after school. If you are available to help, we’d love to have you!

  • Items needed: big appliance size cardboard boxes needed, costume supplies (Godzilla costume? 50’s wear - poodle skirts? black leather jackets?)

-Homecoming Spirit week is next week, Sept. 19-23.

-Substitute Shortage & Compensation Form: Beginning Sept. 12, our district is now providing staff who hold the appropriate certification(or sub certificate) compensation for time they help cover a classroom due to being short a sub. If you cover a classroom, you must complete this form for compensation. It is also linked on the Dashboard, under “Forms”. Please let Stacey know if you have any questions.

-Don't have teaching certification and want to get a sub certificate? Here's where you can find DESE information to get started. Already got it? Share your copy with Sara Towry & Stacey to make sure it's on file.

-WIS social media post form - This link is now added to our Dashboard under "Forms" and included above on the blog each week. Please share the great things happening in your classroom with us. It's important we tell our story! Thanks to Autumn Farmer and Dustin Surber who volunteered to be our co-Digial Media Coordinators for WIS.

-Refreshing Relationships - Don't forget to write down your positive parent contacts to our grid in the teachers' lounge. Every 100 contacts = Sonic drinks for all staff!
