Mon. Library/Counseling Week: A week

Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day and/or communicate to Autumn before the day of announcement.

WIS shared picture folder: PLEASE add your pictures throughout the year to our folder. This is used for our yearbook and social media posts to tell our story!

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-IE Reminder: If you would like to participate in Instructional Excellence, you will submit your proposal by next Mon. Sept. 23. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions on how to do this!

-Team Meetings: We will plan to come to team meetings this week to check-in about students and our SIT process.

-Scam Email: If any of you got an email(s) this weekend from 'Principal Stacey Pippin' asking you to chat..just delete! This is a scam that has been going around for quite some time where they create accounts with people's names in the hopes they get some people to click on their links.

-NWEA make-ups should be wrapped up by mid-week as the window closes Friday. Please see the list of make-ups Samantha left in your team office and then as a team create a make-up schedule. Remember, our hope is the specials support person can help during i-time to allow a class teacher to be with students who need to test.

-Social Committee: If you haven’t had a chance to turn in your dues, get that checked off your list this week. Friday is payday! :) You may do so with cash or a check. (Certified-$20, Classified-$10)

-Homecoming: Details will be coming in the next few days re: the schedule for this day for your planning. It’s almost ready!

-Sonic Challenge: Looks like we're making some great progress in our positive contacts. I have actually heard 3 different parents comment about the call they received. Your time and effort really does make a difference! Don't forget to highlight those you've called on the list in the lounge. Thank you!

Teaching Tidbits:

We've settled in and got to know our students. This can often be the time that we find ourselves digging a little deeper to maintain the energy and stay on top of all that we desire to accomplish. Remember the phases of the school year for teachers? This post is a good reminder that what some of us may be feeling is real and common with the important work we are trying to accomplish in education. This job is full of challenges, ups and downs. During these times, we can lean on each other and stay centered on where we want to end up with each choice, interaction and lesson!
