Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day and/or communicate to Autumn before the day of announcement.
WIS shared picture folder: PLEASE add any pictures you take throughout the year to our folder. This is used for our yearbook and social media posts to tell our story and greatly appreciated!
Nuts and Bolts Items:
-We currently are fully staffed! Please help me in welcoming 2 new staff members starting with us this week:
Pamela Rogers, paraprofessional in Essential Skills: Pamela comes to us with many years of experience in education both in food service and as a para. She most recently worked in Springfield Schools and is excited to join us.
Emily Ruhl, food service: Emily also comes to us from Springfield Schools where she has worked in food service for 10 years. She’s excited to be joining us as her 6th grade son, Liam is on teal team and they’ll now have a similar schedule.
-Media Leaders: Reminder to please send your media leaders on their day for announcements and to work on the news. These are two important ways our students lead in the building and information is communicated. (*See email from Autumn on Aug. 29 for student days and info.)

-Kick it Kenz - TODAY, Sunday, is the last day to get a shirt to support Makenzie with their order. Let us know here if you want one! Then, let Stacey know if you’d like to participate in the walk on WIS team or sign up or donate here.

You may pay for shirts at the Venmo here or by check in the office.
-Tutoring: As your team sets a schedule for tutoring, please add the times on this document. Teams should offer at least two opportunities throughout the week and can be across the grade level (ie. student could attend with either math teacher). As we get to know our student needs better, it’s a goal for this to begin by October.
-Practicum students: Please be sure to fill out this form if you have a practicum student this semester as this information helps us prepare for our guests in the office and is also turned in to district office. Thanks for your help!
-NWEA continues this week. Maroon team is testing science on Tues. and then we’ve got quite a bit of makeups to complete.
Makeup Roster - Please make sure you have added any students absent or who need to complete your content test. This document will be used to complete make-ups during WIN time with our specials teachers. If your team has a large group left to finish, feel free to do this in your classroom during WIN time if that works best for testing.
Creating Makeup Sessions Step-Card (For specials teachers or anyone else proctoring NWEA makeups.)

-40 Ways to Build Positive Relationships in 40 Days Challenge: We all know the impact positive relationships have on student learning and this is a fun way to intentionally track your efforts. Certified staff who complete this challenge by Nov. 5 will receive an additional $20 towards their classroom budget! It's a WIN-WIN!! Keep track of dates you do each and then turn in your completed form to Stacey.
-Student Positive Behavior System:
Team ROAR boards have been hung in your learning park.
Individuals will be able to contribute to the TEAM ROAR board when they receive 10 stickers. Teachers should mark off the 10 stickers earned on student grid and then the student chooses a numbered box to sign their name. When the TEAM ROAR board is filled, the team will earn a reward. (*We plan to re-use the ROAR board, so will bring you Vis-a-vis markers to have them sign with.)
Mrs. Berger and our art students should have the nest with team dino eggs complete this week for display. These eggs will be delivered to the team when they complete their ROAR board to unveil the team’s prize.
Dino eggs for your class grid are almost ready. We’ll put them in your mailbox asap. Class boards will now result in a class reward of teacher choice.
See more details here and please let us know if you have any questions on the changes!
