Leader in Me Moment:
This week take time to either build your own mission statement or reflect upon the one you already have. If you need help building your mission statement, visit this website to work through the process. If you already have your mission statement, take some time to review if it still aligns with where you are in your life and your goals.
Another great resource is the Living the 7 Habits app, it has a mission statement builder and other features available at your fingertips. To unlock the features in the app use the code: Habit89. You can have the app send you a daily quote or reminder about the 7 Habits and it is a great way to keep Leader In Me and the 7 Habits in the forefront of your mind each day.
Teacher Tidbits:
As we continue to build relationships with students, some can be a tougher ‘nut’ to crack. One strategy that has proven effective is the 2x10. This strategy is where you intentionally have a 2 min. conversation with a student for 10 days in a row. See a great example of this and the outcome in this Educational Leadership article, “Show and Tell: A Video Column Two Times Ten Conversations”.
