Morning Announcements: Please add things you would like to have added to our morning announcements on the appropriate day.

WIS Shared Picture Folder: Please add your school pictures throughout the year. We’d love to have lots to choose from for the yearbook!

Nuts and Bolts Items:

-Fall Parent Conference dates - Conferences are scheduled for Oct. 24-27. Tues., Oct. 25 all certified staff will stay for conferences until 7:30 pm and dinner will be served at 5:00 pm. The other evenings can be flexed as your team chooses to meet parent needs. Mark your calendar and more information will be coming soon as it is quickly approaching. This will require grades to be due a little earlier than planned, but will end in a 3-day weekend!

-Homecoming pictures - Please add your pictures from Friday and spirit week to our “Homecoming” folder.

-Social dues - Please contribute to our social dues as this money is used to help each other in times of need and/or celebration. Certified = $20; Non-Certified = $10 (shared staff pay half at each building). You can find more info in email from Autumn Farmer on 9/20. Remember payment soon = jeans & treats!

-Practicum students - If you have a practicum student, please fill out this information for each one so the office also has this information on file. Thanks!

-Belonging individual WIGs - How’d you do last week? Make sure you’ve updated your scoreboard. Staff will be around to check how we did as we move into Week 4.

-Criteria Sheets - ELA teachers are asked to complete a Title criteria sheet for students without an IEP in Reading & WE scoring below grade level (5th: 40NF:11:16 & below, 6th: 60F:11:16 & below). Please turn these in to Leah or Keri if you haven’t already done so. These forms are used to schedule for title services and can be found in this folder.

-Meal train for Jessen - We are so glad to have Mrs. Jessen back at school! However, we know there is still a long recuperation time for her husband and help is appreciated even more with her return to work. If you or your team are able to provide a meal, please feel free to sign up when it’s convenient for you!

-Remember - It's Secret Pals week if you are participating!

-Refreshing Relationships - Yay!! We hit our first round of 100 parent positive phone calls and enjoyed a round of Sonic drinks on Thursday. The board has been erased and we’ve just got a few days of September left. Can we get another round before it’s October?!? Maybe Monday afternoon could be a good time to make some of those calls!

Teaching Tip or Tool:

Still wondering if you really have the time for those positive phone calls? Check out this article, "The Power of the Positive Phone Call Home" or this one, "I Started Contacting Parents With Good News. Here's What Happened." to see more examples of the positive impact made with a phone call.
